About Mike Stiv

I’m Michalis Stivaktakis, a full stack engineer who’s been building for the web since 2001. My background is primarily in backend architecture and integrations for web applications, and these days my focus is on putting LLMs into production.

My work centers on two things: applying AI to solve real world problems, and building agent workflows that hold up under real usage. A few principles I follow: establish ground truth and clear success metrics before building, favor reliability over cleverness, and treat tool design as more important than prompt design. Every workflow needs solid error handling, observability into what agents are actually doing, and guardrails that keep autonomy bounded — and nothing ships without a mandatory verification step that has to pass first.
